The New Rosary

I was talking with a good friend of mine this morning, a former Catholic who claims to have memorized the entire Baltimore Catechism (not going to ask him to repeat it, so as far as I'm concerned he's not lying), and I wondered out loud if there was a way to be non-Catholic and pray the rosary. Each bead represents something new. Pray for our families. Pray for our mission. Pray for our struggle.

Something to touch as a reminder of the concrete impact of our prayer.

What do you think - is the rosary something so attached to the Roman Catholic tradition that it can't leave? Or is there a way to borrow from that tradition and give it new symbolism - new significance for non-Catholics?

Love to hear your thoughts.
