A Prayer For Friday

As another week closes, I thought it might be helpful to have a prayer to focus us for the times of rest and worship that are coming up. I pray these words resonate with you and bring you into closer conversation with God:

Father, I lay down my crown and scepter. I give up on the kingdom of me and humbly ask to be a jester in your courts, a holy fool helplessly submitted to your bracing and beautiful agenda. May every word I use with flourish be incense to your nostrils, brilliance to your eyes, and symphonic in your ears. Let me not grow pale in your Kingdom which is forged in color. Come Lord Jesus, lead us on.

Peace friends.
