A Critical Question for Monday

It has been a whirlwind few days for me, so please forgive my silence on Friday. Jesus already has, so I'm assuming you'll be on board soon as well. One critical question has been floating in my mind for the past few days. Granted, there are more questions but this one is key and it has heavy implications for all of us.

Is spiritual formation - becoming more like Christ in everything we do - mandatory or voluntary for those who claim to follow Christ?

The reason this question is critical is not because it is inherently difficult to answer but the implications of the way we answer this question could totally rearrange our daily life.

If we say mandatory, then do our lives match it?

If we say voluntary, can our relationships and overall existence sustain it?

If we can answer this question and live out the implications, I believe we'll see transformation beyond imagination.
