A Reminder from Psalm 103

Bless the Lord, o my soul, and all my inmost being bless His holy name.Bless the Lord, o my soul and forget not all his benefits -

who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases,

who redeems your life from the Pit and crowns you with love and compassion,

who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's. (103:3-5)

Today, where have you been forgiven?Today, where have you been healed?Today, how have you been redeemed out of a pit?Today, how have you experienced God's "crowning" you with love and compassion?Today, how have your desires been satisfied with good things?Today, how have you been renewed and made to feel "young" again?

These questions are the beginning of gratitude, which plows the field and plants seeds of contentment, which grow into the plants of peace in our lives that allow us to live out this formissional life at full volume.

Offer your responses to the questions above as a prayer to God today.
