Random Insights for Friday

Blog speculators & experts say that no one reads blogs on Fridays. Hmm. Do you read on Fridays? Leave a comment below if you do because I'd like to test that theory.Some random insights and thoughts as we close the week:

I desperately want God to change my feelings, but He wants to change my mind so I know what to think about my feelings so that my motivations can be changed. I need to live motivated by what I know about Him, not by what I feel.

Regarding Colossians 1:15-23:

To see the Spirit of Christ formed in us is to ground ourselves in an absurd amount of power - it is a "deeper magic, from before the dawn of time." (C.S. Lewis, The Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe)

May you know this God, the one who wants to change your mind so that everything else may follow. The God who guides us through our blinding emotions to the unavoidable truth, "all things hold together through Christ." (Col. 1:15-23)
